Nigerian music sensation Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has achieved a major milestone by amassing over 9 billion streams across all credits on Spotify.

This makes him the first African artiste to reach this feat on the global streaming platform.

Leading the pack among his catalogue is ‘One Dance’, his chart-topping collaboration with Drake and Kyla, which boasts a staggering 3.7 billion streams.

The track not only ranks among Spotify’s top 10 most streamed songs of all time, but it also made history as the first single to cross 1 billion streams.

Also, this earns him a spot in the Guinness World Records.

Among his solo efforts, ‘Essence’  his breakout hit featuring fellow Nigerian star Tems  remains his most streamed lead single, with over 303 million streams.
