On April 14, 2023, Tiwa Savage announced on her Instagram page that robbers had broken into her house.
According to the press release, Tiwa Savage and her family are safe and some of the perpetrators have been detained and are being held at the Alagbon Police Station in Ikoyi pending more investigation.

The announcement comes as a relief to her colleagues and the millions of followers she has entertained with her music over the last decade.
They also took to the comment section to thank God for her safety.
