President Bola Tinubu has chosen Dr. Temitope Ilori as the new Director General of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS, NACA.
The agency’s Head of Public Relations and Protocol, Toyin Aderibigbe, shared this news on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
Dr. Ilori is the first woman to hold this position at NACA, starting her four-year term on February 22, 2024.
She takes over from Dr. Gambo Aliyu, who led the agency from June 2019 until February 2024.
Before this role, Dr. Ilori worked as a senior teacher at the University of Ibadan’s Department of Community Medicine and a doctor at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
