The reasons for his departure were cited as “personal reasons,” according to the federation.

Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano also reported the news, confirming that Henry had chosen to terminate his contract with the team.

Romano echoed the federation’s statement, attributing Henry’s decision to “personal” reasons.

Thierry Henry, a legendary former Arsenal and Barcelona forward, took charge of the France U21 side in 2023.

His tenure with the team was marked by notable achievements, including leading them to the 2024 Olympics finals.

Despite their eventual loss to Spain, Henry’s France side finished their campaign with a silver medal.

However, his departure marks the unexpected end of his brief but successful tenure as head coach of the France U21 national team.
