Squid Game Series Wins Four Emmy Awards

The Netflix South Korean series squid game landed its first Emmy awards on Sunday in Los Angeles.

The series bagged awards for Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary Program, Outstanding Special Visual Effects, Outstanding Stunt Performance, and Outstanding Guest Actress.

Actress Lee You-mi, who played Ji-yeong in the series’ episode “Gganbu,” won Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.

Squid Game will compete for the top drama honor, becoming the first non-English language series to be nominated for that prize at the Emmys.
