Nigerian singer Oludipe David, popularly known as Spyro, has disclosed that he charges ₦20 million to perform at events within Nigeria.
The “Who’s Your Guy” hitmaker made this revelation during an interview with Echo Room
Spyro also addressed a past disagreement with music artist and manager, Ubi Franklin, which arose from a payment issue during a performance at fellow musician Iyanya’s birthday celebration.
Recounting the event, Spyro explained that Ubi Franklin approached him with an offer to perform at the celebration.
Also, he claimed that Afrobeats superstar, Davido, had requested his presence and was willing to pay $5,000 for the performance.
“Davido was meant to perform at Iyanya’s birthday, and Ubi came to inform me that Davido wanted us to perform as well and that we would be paid $5,000 each,” Spyro said.
He expressed dissatisfaction with the offer, explaining that his performance fee was significantly higher.
“I called him to the side and said, ‘Bro, I don’t charge $5,000. The least I charge in Nigerian currency is ₦20 million.’”
Upon arriving at the event, Spyro noticed that Davido was already on stage performing.
Shortly after Davido’s performance, Spyro was called up to perform.

Despite the unresolved payment issue, Spyro decided to proceed with the performance out of respect for the high-profile guests present.
“I could not decline at that moment because there were many dignitaries present, and afterwards, I had to sort it out with Ubi regarding my pay,” he explained.
