It was a tragic incident as South African young female doctor, Nondumiso met her end outside a gym.
A 32-year-old doctor was shot and killed in the parking lot of a gym in Mpumalanga, South Africa.
Nondumiso Nkosi, who was employed at Rob Ferreira Hospital, was killed by unknown assailants at Virgin Active in Riverside in Mbombela on November 20, 2024.
One of her relatives, Sydney Nkosi, says no more details will be given at this stage as police are investigating the shooting.
He says the family has requested privacy while dealing with the loss of their loved one.
Provincial police spokesperson Brigadier Donald Mdhluli says Nelspruit police are investigating the shooting.
In addition, he said that the doctor was shot on her way into the gym.
“The victim parked her car and got out. As she was walking towards the gym, a Toyota Starlet drove towards her.
One of the assailants got out of the vehicle and shot the woman three times before fleeing the scene.

“Nothing was stolen from her” he said.
Paramedics declared Sibanyoni dead on the scene.
