Singer Portable Turns Himself In To Police

This follows his surrender to the Lagos State Police Criminal Investigation Department.

His arrival was officially confirmed in a press statement issued by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer

“We wish to inform the public that Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, arrived at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta, today. His presence is in connection with an ongoing investigation. The Ogun State Police Command assures the public that due process will be followed, and updates will be provided as necessary.”

Allegations Against Portable

Portable’s legal troubles stem from an alleged violent attack on three government officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.

The incident, which occurred on February 5, 2025, at Odogwu Bar in the Sango area, reportedly escalated when the officials attempted to enforce building regulations at a property linked to the singer

According to police reports, the officials encountered Portable’s father at the site and requested to see the building’s approved plan.

When informed that Portable was unavailable, the situation quickly took a violent turn.

“Moments later, Portable, armed with a firearm and other dangerous weapons, led a gang of nine thugs in a brutal attack on the unarmed officials. The enforcement officers sustained multiple injuries but managed to escape and report the assault to the Ota Area Command.”

Nine of Portable’s alleged accomplices were immediately arrested, but the singer himself fled the scene and went into hiding.

Despite multiple police invitations, he repeatedly ignored official summons and failed to present himself with legal representation.

Portable: A Wanted Man

With Portable evading arrest, the Ogun State Police Command secured a valid court order declaring him wanted. Authorities then issued a strong warning to the public.
