The All Share Index appreciated by 0.35%, settling at 98,225.63bps from the previous close of 97,962.24bps.
This brings the year-to-date to 31.43%, the month-to-date to negative 5.97%, and the week-to-date to 0.16% respectively.
Investors in the equity market smiled home as the market capitalisation increased by 295 billion to close at N55.553 trillion.
An aggregate of 552 million units of shares was traded in 9,350 deals valued at N14.919 billion
The market breadth closed positive as 28 equities gained while 18 equities declined in share prices.
Percentage Gainers
CAP, NAHCO, Learn Africa, and UAC Nigeria Plc led other gainers with 10% growth each to close at N28.60, N36.30, N3.30, and N14.85 respectively
The share price of Conoil, Julius Berger, and Morison Industries Plc grew by 9.96%, 9.94%, and 8.87% respectively.
Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc shed 10% off its share price to close at N38.90.
CWG, Vitafoam Nigeria, and Honeywell Flourmills Plc also shed their share prices by 9.82%, 9.81%, and 9.74% respectively.
Volume Drivers
GTCO Plc traded about 245.460 million units of its shares in 470 deals, valued at 7.946 billion.
