Do you still think Cristiano Ronaldo is the GOAT?
This is the question on the minds of football fans of Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s new club in Saudi Arabia.
The Portugal star went through a nightmare as his team was scraped out of the Saudi Super Cup by Al-Ittihad.
Ronaldo, who is the captain of the Knights of Najd, struggled in the semi-final, missing a golden chance to equalise after Romarinho puts Al-Ittihad ahead.
It has now been two long years since Cristiano Ronaldo last won a major trophy, with that being the Copa Italia with Juventus.
He failed to lift any silverware in his second spell at Manchester United and frankly never looked close to doing so.
Ronaldo would have hope that he stood a better chance with his new team, Al-Nassr. But those hopes were killed by a 3-1 goal rout, for the time being, on January 26, 2023.
This means another great missed opportunity for Ronaldo as Al-Ittihad will now progress into the Saudi Super Cup final against Al-Feiha.
Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in a deal worth $75million per year in December 31, 2022.
