Nigerians are angry with the Government and the CBN, for putting them through the hardship of a tight fiscal policy without remorse.

Why now? After many lives have been lost and property destroyed, many Nigerians ask in outrage.

At this point, Nigerians are confused.

Is it because the rigging of election through BVAS failed? Hence, they have decided to fall back to vote buying?

What game are the Nigerian Government, CBN and Supreme Court playing?

You would have thought that the alignment of the CBN behind the Supreme Court would mean jubilation for Nigerians. But that is not the case.

Many can’t celebrate the approval of the CBN to continue the use of the old notes because there are numerous questions unanswered.

The CBN released a statement hours after President Buhari denied ordering Godwin Emefiele, or the Attorney-General, Malami, to disobey the apex court’s ruling.

Why did Buhari wait that long before speaking?

It beats imagination to know that the CBN waited till night to release a document, in which it aligned with the Supreme Court.

The alignment was decided at a meeting on Sunday.

On Monday night, the CBN spokesperson, Isa Abdulmumin, said the old notes remain legal tender until December 31, 2023.
