Christian Pulisic cut a frustrated figure as AC Milan dropped points against Atalanta, with the USMNT star left to rue a missed chance.
The Rossoneri got off to a perfect start in their latest Serie A fixture, with Portuguese forward Rafael Leao breaking the deadlock in style with a sensational strike in the third minute.
Milan were unable to build on that foundation, and were ultimately left cursing their luck.
Teun Koopmeiners restored parity from the penalty spot at San Siro three minutes before half-time, and there was to be no more scoring from there.
However, both sides had chances to take all three points, but were left to settle for one apiece.
United States international, Pulisic, was unable to make a telling contribution in the final third before being replaced with two minutes left on the clock and posted on social media afterwards that “wasn’t to be tonight” as Milan took a share of the spoils.
