President Bola Tinubu has dissolved the NAHCON board, and appointed Jalal Arabi to take the reins at the commission, but not much is known about him.

On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu sacked the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Zikirullah Kunle Hassan.

After that sacking of Zikirullah, the President approved the appointment of Alhaji Jalal Ahmad Arabi to serve as the new chairman/CEO of the commission for a four-year term.

Tinubu followed that decision with the dissolution of the NAHCON board. But, before these decisions, very little was known of Jalal Arabi.

IBrandTV delved into his background to find out who he is, and what he has been up to in the time before his appointment.

Back Story

Jalal Arabi was born in Jos, the capital city of Plateau State, on October 28, 1962. This would mean that in a few days he would be 61 years old.

The Gombe State indigene obtained a degree in Law from the University of Jos in 1983.

Also, he attended the Council of Legal Education, Lagos, where he bagged his BL in 1984.

A year after, Jalal Arabi proceeded to the Ministry of Justice, Bauchi state, where he began a career as a State Counsel.
