The Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja will reconvene on Wednesday to resume the pre-hearing session on the petition filed by the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Obi and his party want to overturn Tinubu’s election victory.

The court also set the same date for another petition filed by the Action Peoples Party, APP.
However, it deferred the case of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, until Tuesday.
While adjourning the cases, the court urged the parties to identify all witness statements and documents on which they would rely or object during the petitions’ actual hearing.
Mr Peter Obi was among those in court to witness the proceedings.
Meanwhile, the court barred Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong from appearing before it as the representative of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The Plateau State governor stood up and announced himself as Tinubu’s representative as soon as the first petition filed against the outcome of the 2023 presidential election was called up.
“My Lords, my name is Simon Lalong, and I am here to represent Tinubu,” the governor explained.
However, a five-member panel led by Justice Haruna Tsammani refused to recognise him as Tinubu’s representative.
“You cannot represent a single person.
“Tinubu is not a corporation that requires a representative,” the court held.
“My Lords, in that case, I will represent the All Progressives Congress (APC),” responded Governor Lalong.
