On Wednesday, September 18, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, paid a visit to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, at his residence in Abuja.
The meeting between the duo was held at the Minister’s Asokoro residence.
At the time of filing this report, the details of discussions between the two were yet to be made public.
However, many people suspect that the meeting may be linked to the ongoing face-off between Wike and Fubara.
Recently, Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) once again pledged their support to Siminalayi Fubara.
They insisted that Fubara is the leader of the party in the state.

However, for Wike, the PDP governors must steer clear of Rivers State.
The former governor vowed to set fire in any state that interfered.
In a quick response, the Chairman of PDP Governors’ Forum, Governor Bala Mohammed, said there is no going back on their support for Fubara.
Maybe Akpabio’s visit to Wike was tied to this ongoing crisis, maybe not.
However, here are pictures from the meeting:
