Peter Obi Sends Condolences To Family Of Labour Party Women Leader

Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has sent his condolences to the family of the Labour Party’s women leader that was killed in Kaduna, on Tuesday.

Victoria Chintex, the work leader of the party in Kaura LGA of Kaduna state, was killed by gunmen at her residence.

The party’s publicity secretary of the Kaduna senatorial zone, Edward Buju announced her death in a statement.

The statement revealed that the husband of the deceased also suffered gunshot injuries and is currently receiving treatment.

Buju revealed that the party is currently waiting for the burial plans by the family and would also support the family.

He said, “More so, as we await the burial plans NG the family, the Zone 3 Labour Party will make support to her family.

“ On behalf of our presidential candidate, Peter Obi; our gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna state, Jonathan Asake; the party senatorial candidate for Southern Kaduna zone, Muke Auta, we call on the people of Kaura LGA, to be law abiding as vengeance is of the Lord.”

Reacting to the news of the women leader’s death, Peter Obi said, “ I am shocked by the mindless killing of Mrs. Victoria Chinfed, the Labour Party’s women leader in Kaura, Kaunda State, by yet to be identified gunmen. Her death is a huge loss to her immediate and extended family, and to our Labour Party. She lives on in our hearts.

“Her killing, and the loss of many innocent lives across the nation to gunmen and terrorists, are the reason why I must prioritize the war against insecurity as my first task in office. We just not allow the waste of human live in Nigeria under any guise.

“May the soul of Late Mrs. Victoria Chintex rest in perfect peace. My sincere condolences to her family.”
