According to him, Lagos has been governed by the same family since 1999 and it is time for Lagosians to vote them out and allow for a new government.
Atiku said he is no stranger to the 52-year-old city of Lagos and he had been in the city from when the Europeans built the Carter bridge and had watched the state undergo many developments.
He however claims that the major facilities built in the state were done by the Federal Government and not the APC which has been taking credit.
He said, “The Federal Government rebuilt the old Carter bridge. The federal government built the third mainland bridge, rebuilt (again) the Agege Motor road, rebuilt the Ikorodu road and all the major roads connecting the island and the mainland.
“The APC government has been telling you they developed Lagos, they did not develop Lagos at all, it is a lie, they are lying to you.”
Atiku encouraged Lagosians to vote for the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP, Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), as a means to liberate themselves from “the family government to the people’s government”.
