Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing, recently made a public apology to the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners of Nigeria (TAMPAN) and its president, Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr. Latin.
This follows a long-standing dispute with the association.
Also, her apology marks a significant step toward mending ties after years of tension, which began in 2021.
The feud originated from Nkechi’s outspoken criticism of Baba Ijesha following his alleged involvement in a child abuse case.
Alongside fellow actress Iyabo Ojo, Nkechi condemned Baba Ijesha’s actions.
Also, this sparks backlash from certain TAMPAN members, including actors Yomi Fabiyi and Lege Maimi.
In response, veteran actor, Jide Kosoko, took the stance of banning directors under TAMPAN’s authority from working with both actresses.
In an emotional moment at the recent Celebrities Entertainment Awards held in Canada, Nkechi seized the opportunity to extend a heartfelt apology to TAMPAN and Mr. Latin.
Also, the moment was captured in a viral video.
Nkechi Blessing was seen kneeling on stage with a microphone.
Also, she was visibly remorseful, as she addressed her past actions and expressed a desire to move forward in peace with the association.
