The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has announced a change in its schedule, with two matchday 26 fixtures being rescheduled. The affected games are Rivers United versus Katsina United and Bendel Insurance’s match against Ikorodu City.
Initially, these two games were set to take place on Wednesday, February 26th, but they will now be played on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
The remaining matchday 26 fixtures will proceed as originally planned on Wednesday.
The NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi disclosed this in a memo on Sunday. According to Owumi, the rearrangement was necessitated by broadcast demands.
In the memo, Owumi also urged NPFL teams to ensure that all necessary measures are put in place to guarantee hitch-free games.
This includes taking adequate precautions to ensure the smooth execution of the matches.
