Renowned rapper Nicki Minaj has praised Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido as an exceptional songwriter and melody maker following their recent collaboration.
Nickin Minaj teamed up with Davido on her latest project, If It’s Okay. Responding to a fan on social media who asked why she chose to work with the Nigerian star, Minaj explained that she wanted to incorporate the vibrant Afrobeat sound into her music.
“That man is an incredible writer and melody maker. It is always a pleasure working with him because of our mutual respect for one another,”
Minaj wrote on her X handle. “I asked him to be a part of it to bring out the Afrobeat tempo and feeling in it a bit more. Naija to the world.”
