NDDC: Akpabio breaks silence, says senate, Reps most beneficiaries of NDDC contracts

The Minister of Niger Delta, Godswill Akpabio has indicted both the upper and lower chamber of the national assembly. He accused them of benefiting more from the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, contracts.

The allegation considered weighty, was spoken about by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP).

The right group on Tuesday advised the senate president , Dr. Ahmad Lawan and Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila to refer to the EFCC and ICPC the allegations by Godswill Akpabio, Niger Delta affairs minister that most of the contracts in the NDDC are given to members of the National Assembly.

In another development, the group said, “We’ll fight for justice and accountability in this matter.”
