Napoli have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea for £26 million, with an additional £12 million in potential add-ons.
The deal was finalized after Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna held a second meeting with Chelsea directors on Friday. Lukaku, is set to sign a three-year contract, reuniting with Antonio Conte.
This move will see Lukaku join a new Serie A club after spending the past two seasons on loan in Italy, with Inter Milan in 2022-23 and Roma in 2023-24.
Chelsea originally signed Lukaku from Inter Milan for £97.5 million in August 2021. He scored 15 goals in 44 appearances during the 2021-22 season but has not played for Chelsea since May 2022.
Meanwhile, Chelsea continue their search for a new striker and have shown serious interest in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen this summer.
