The debate over the legitimacy and authenticity of Bola Tinubu’s claim to have attended Chicago State University in Illinois has resurfaced.

According to a series of photos shared on social media on Wednesday, November 30, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) was hosted by his alma mater some years ago.
However, the nature of the gathering was not specified, but the photos appear to have been taken in the 1990s or early 2000s. Tinubu was given a plaque in what appears to be a recognition award for being a good ambassador of the institution, as seen in the viral photo.
Tinubu was photographed in the middle of a group of eight people, most likely professors from the institution.
