Nigerians are tense and want to find out who won the 2023 presidential election as voting and counting are being rounded up.
However, so many fake election results from several states have started spreading.
A particular message spreading on WhatsApp claims that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have won the voting in some states.
According to the message, APC and PDP in Kwara, Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti, and Osun states have managed to get 6,111,796 and 4,367,845 votes respectively.
However, the Nigerian Fact-Checkers’ Coalition has declared this to be misleading.
As of 11:25AM on Sunday, the coalition concludes that “results in the aforementioned states are still being collated, and the final results are yet to be announced”.
