Following Manchester United’s victory against Chelsea, Scott McTominay revealed how Erik ten Hag has prepared his team for the match.
Manchester United midfielder McTominay scored twice to lead the Red Devils to a vital victory over Chelsea.
The win relieved some of the pressure on Ten Hag who has been criticised for his management and United’s injury problems this season.
The team has had a host of injuries to key players this year.
However, players at Old Trafford are frequently dealing with muscle issues that have been blamed on the Dutchman’s heavy training regimen.
McTominay revealed after the game that Ten Hag had gone a little easier on his players before the match with Chelsea.
McTominay told Amazon Prime: “What changed? The manager.
“The way we approached the game and some light training sessions to keep the energy high with a lot of games coming and keep the pressure on the teams above us”.
With United lacking a clear style of play, Ten Hag has been the subject of intense criticism lately.
However, they produced a lot of opportunities against the Blues and looked like they were back to their best offensively.
