Marc Cucurella was spotted wearing unusual boots at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday after a heavy challenge ripped one of his starting boots clean off.
After the Blues’ 2-0 win over Bournemouth, the Chelsea defender went to inspect the boot, but it was unusably torn after ripping at the tongue, so he limped off to get a new one.
Cucurella was presented with a replacement by one of the club’s backroom staff in record time, but it was noticeably different from the one that had just been ruined.
The 24-year-old then chose to stay in the other undamaged shoe, which meant he spent most of the second half wearing one orange boot and one silver boot.
