Manchester United lost their first pre-season game 1-0 to Rosenborg in Trondheim, Norway.
The game was goalless until the last kick of the game, when Rosenborg’s Noah Holm scored in the 93rd minute.
Manchester United fielded a young team, with several regular players yet to return after the European Championship and Copa América.
Radek Vitek, Manchester United’s Czech goalkeeper, made several impressive saves to keep the game goalless for most of the match.
Despite being outshot 22-5, Manchester United’s defense held strong until the final minute.
The team will continue their pre-season preparations with a friendly against Rangers in Edinburgh, Scotland, on July 20, followed by a tour of the US and a final warmup match against Liverpool at Old Trafford on August 3.
Their Premier League campaign will begin on August 16 with a home game against Fulham.
