Manchester United agree £13m deal for Feyenoord defender

Feyenoord defender Tyrell Malacia is valued around an initial £13m with a further £1.7m in add-ons, Erik ten Hag has heavily scouted the 22-year-old, who shares an agency with Frenkie de Jong. Malacia fits the profile Ten Hag wants at Old Trafford.
United accelerated their interest in Malacia in an attempt to beat Lyon to a deal and the Dutch club recently confirmed a fee had been agreed.

The director of Feyenoord, Frank Arnesen, revealed United’s last-minute effort to outbid Lyon for the services of the Dutch international, according to 1908NL: “There is a contract with Manchester United. Tyrell is presently in our waiting area.Malacia’s transfer to Manchester United will happen soon if he responds positively “.
As the head coach of Ajax, Erik ten Hag had extensively examined the 22-year-old, noting his speed, positional knowledge, high interception rate, and capacity to attack space.

Malacia shares an agency with Frenkie de Jong, the club’s top target this summer, and matches the mold of the player the Dutchman wants at Old Trafford. Victor Lindelof and Donny van de Beek are both represented by the same agency.

Frenkie de Jong is still moving forward, and there is a foundation for an agreement, but there are still a lot of difficult issues to resolve.

The initial £56 million agreement for the Barcelona midfielder is moving along nicely in negotiations, allowing United to switch to other players on their shortlist for their rebuild.

The midfielder, who made 46 appearances for Barcelona last season and has four years left on his contract at the Nou Camp, is not anticipated to have any issues with personal matters.
