Leicester City made a strong statement in their Premier League return, holding Tottenham to a draw at King Power Stadium.
The match marked a triumphant return for Jamie Vardy, who scored on his first shot on target, heading in Abdul Fatawu’s cross from close range just before the hour mark.
Tottenham had dominated the first half, with Pedro Porro scoring the opening goal.
However, they failed to capitalize on their momentum, and Vardy’s equalizer brought Leicester back into the game.
The Foxes’ energy and enthusiasm proved challenging for Spurs to handle, and they could have taken the win.
Summer signing Dominic Solanke missed several opportunities to score on his debut, including two tame headers that were easily saved by Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.
Meanwhile, Vardy nearly secured the win for Leicester, but his low strike was kept out by Guglielmo Vicario.
