Due to their popularity with broadcasters, Leeds United generated more income in the Premier League season than their league finish.
The Whites earned a total of £116 million in TV income this season.
According to finance expert Kieran Maguire, it worked out to about £950k extra each match for every game above 10 each side chosen by the broadcasters.
“Premier League season over, so who have been the prize money winners?” wrote Kieran Maguire. For a domestic broadcast arrangement, 50 percent of the money is distributed evenly, with the bottom side receiving one share and the top 20 receiving 20 shares, based on ‘facility’ (number of times chosen by TV) and final league place.
