Lagos Mobile Courts to prosecute owners/drivers of impounded vehicles

Owners and drivers whose vehicles were impounded during the second phase of the Covid-19 lockdown in Lagos State, are to be prosecuted by the Lagos State Mobile Courts, Bolade, Oshodi.

The vehicles were impounded by security agencies in line with the government directives between Wednesday, April 15th, 2020 and Sunday, May 3rd, 2020.

According to the Chairman Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit (Taskforce), CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, the Lagos State Mobile Courts would commence sitting on the impounded vehicles by security agencies from Monday, 11th of May, 2020.

He advised vehicle owners/drivers whose vehicles fall into these categories to present themselves at the Lagos State Mobile Courts, Bolade, Oshodi and desist from loitering around the Agency’s car parks across the State.
