The controversial Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, With a popular name, Bobrisky, has ‘a high fashion sense’. Also, he flaunts a luxurious lifestyle and influnces brands.
From the reactions of netizens, his lifestyle doesn’t sit well with many. This has made him clash with people who don’t share his beliefs.
Bobrisky As Best Dressed Female?
Influencers and celebrities like Portable and VeryDarkMan recently bashed Bobrisky for being awarded Best Dressed Female at a movie premiere and also called on authorities to “bring him to book”.
They claim he is violating gender laws in Nigeria.
However, it came as a shock to many this morning when the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) posted on Instagram that Idris is in their custody over the abuse of the naira notes.
“Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have commenced an investigation of Idris Okuneye, a.k.a. Bobrisky, for allegedly spraying Naira notes.

“The EFCC had invited the 31-year-old following a video report of spraying and flaunting wads of new Naira notes. (He was) at the premiere of a movie, Ajakaju, produced by Eniola Ajao, a Nollywood actress and producer, at Film One Circle Mall, Lekki, Lagos on March 24, 2024.
“Investigation also revealed that he had also committed the alleged offence at some other event centres and parties at different times.
“Following the invitation by the Commission, he arrived at the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC in the morning of Wednesday, April 4, 2024 for interrogation and volunteered his statements.
“He will soon be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations” the EFCC said.

This development has sparked an uproar on the internet. Netizens are of the opinion that Bobrisky is facing and unjust detention.
Basically they claim he is not the only person or celebrity guilty of the abuse of Naira at events.
However, the implementation of the law does not care who becomes the scapegoat in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, a video had trended of Bobrisky showing his acquired backside.
Also, there have been calls for his arrest, with some persons insisting he was violating Ngieria’s gay law.
