Jumia Driver Sets Bad Record: Angry Customer Shakes Table

While Nigerians were dragging the Police over the 2025 message shared by its spokesman, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Ella, a resident in the Bariga area of Lagos, was busy dragging a Jumia driver, only that her dragging was not online, it was live.

At first, one may not fully grasp what was happening.

All we could hear was the noise and the banter.

“Give me my package,” Ella screamed, with disappointment clearly written on her face.

The driver blasted back rudely, jumped into his car, and zoomed off.

Everyone was in shock.

However, when the tension was calmed, we decided to hear from the horse’s mouth, that was when the story unfolded.

Ella even shared her experience on X, where she recounted all that transpired.

According to her: “An order was placed by a friend to be delivered to me. The dispatch rider was rude, uncouth, and aggressive
Francis 09039309436 was the driver.

“He refused to give me my order & insisted I gave him pin beforehand, without me seeing my item.”

“2 days ago he called and was so rude after I told him he didn’t call before coming and he dropped the call, took the order away and flagged the delivery saying I was unreachable. I called your customer care and I was told it’ll be addressed and I will get a new delivery driver.”

“Of course, @JumiaNigeria sent the same guy. Francis called this morning and I chose to be calm to avoid issues. I asked him if he is on his way or here already, he said I am asking jamb questions and he is coming, then hung up.”

“He finally came and refused to gimme my package without the PIN. I asked to see it to be sure it’s mine cos I dunno what it is that was ordered. He got really irate and started yelling. I insisted, he drove off with my package.
Did he want to steal it ehn @JumiaNigeria???”

Exactly what she recounted on X was what she told passersby who were so eager to know what happened.

“You for don talk na, we for beat am for here,” some whispered.

As we speak, many X users have taken to the platform to share their experiences, and trust us when we say many of them are ‘ugly experiences’.

This development reflects the poor service delivery of many e-commerce companies in Nigeria and the challenges many customers face.
