JAY-Z’s ‘Made in America’ music festival won’t happen for the second year in a row. In a social media post on the organizers explained why they’re canceling the festival.
The statement said, “Made In America will not take place in 2024. Since it started, this festival celebrated music & community from giving fans a place to connect, to supporting local small businesses & highlighting important causes.”
“It focused on being affordable and accessible.”
They added, “As leaders of change, the ‘Made In America’ team is reimagining a live music experience that shows our love for music and our work. We promise an exciting comeback to the festival.”
Even though no performers were announced for 2024, the canceled 2023 lineup included SZA, Ice Spice, Metro Boomin, Lizzo, and Tems.
The last ‘Made in America’ was in 2022 with Tyler, The Creator and Bad Bunny headlining, along with performances from Pusha T, Kodak Black, and Lil Uzi Vert.
