The Italian Football Federation has confirmed that German sportswear giant, Adidas will replace Puma as the kit supplier of Italy’s national soccer teams from 2023.
In addition to the Italian men’s, women’s and youth teams, the long-term sponsorship deal also covers the federation’s futsal, beach soccer and esports outfits.
The financial terms of the agreement were not made public, but it is reportedly a four-year deal worth €35 million annually.
Italian Football Federation president, Gabriele Gravina described the deal as “a source of great pride” for the national governing body.
The deal ends the Italian national side’s long-running association with Puma, another German brand, which has supplied the team’s kits since 2008.
Puma is paying €20 million a year under its current deal. The company will supply Italy’s kits for the FIFA 2022 Qatar World Cup – should the European champions qualify – before Adidas takes over next year.
