While Nigerians continue to tackle the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for not uploading the results of Saturday’s election immediately from polling units, the commission is still going on with the uploading of results.
So far 155,472 results from 176, 846 polling units have been uploaded.
This is coming six days after the presidential election was held across Nigeria.
The number of polling units uploaded by the electoral body as at now represents 88% of results during the election.
As of the time of filing this report, the electronic transmission of results is still ongoing.
Alleged Manipulation
Political parties, groups and several others have condemned the INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, for failing to upload results as promised during the election.
The failure of INEC to upload results to its viewing portal on Monday led to the walkout staged by some party agents at the National Collation Centre in Abuja.
They say INEC Chairman deliberately manipulated the presidential election results.
However, despite the cry of these political parties and groups, INEC, on Wednesday went ahead to declare the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu as the president-elect.
