Human rights lawyer and activist, Dele Farotimi has arrived the Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, for his trial on criminal defamation charges filed against him by Chief Afe Babalola SAN.
Meanwhile, he had been remanded at the Ado-Ekiti Correctional Centre last week after his arraignment.
Today, Tuesday, Dec. 10, he was brought to court by prison officials to face trial.

The charges stem from allegations made in Farotimi’s book, Nigeria and its Criminal Justice System, where he accused Babalola of influencing Supreme Court judges.
