Georgina Rodriguez, partner of football star Cristiano Ronaldo, has shared her relief at seeing the Portuguese forward leave Manchester United for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.
Ronaldo departed Old Trafford two years ago, after what Rodriguez described as a difficult period for the player at Manchester United.
In an interview with Football Transfers, Rodriguez expressed her dissatisfaction with how the Premier League club treated Ronaldo, stating that he was “maltreated” during his time there.
“The [Real Madrid] fans always chanted Cristiano’s name, and he was grateful for their love and support,” Rodriguez said.
“Wherever we go, we know they will continue to cheer for him. I felt very relieved when Cristiano left Manchester for Al Nassr.”
Ronaldo’s move to Al Nassr marked a significant chapter in his career, following his second stint at Manchester United.
