Chelsea are closing in on signing Barcelona’s Marc Guiu on a long-term deal by triggering his release clause.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are in advanced talks to sign 18-year-old Barcelona forward Marc Guiu this summer, as they plan to trigger the release clause in the player’s contract that is set at €6m (£5m/$6m).
Romano also added that the Premier League side are currently in talks with the player over a long-term deal.
The teenager had earlier held talks with Bayern Munich during the weekend, however, the West London club are being considered as favourites to land the striker.
Guiu, who made his senior debut in October last year, appeared in seven matches across all competitions in the 2023/24 season where he scored two goals, one each in La Liga and the Champions League.
