Afrobeats legend Burna Boy, also known as African Giant, has been announced by popular streaming platform Boomplay as the number-one male artist for 2022.
Burna Boy is followed by Asake, who is ranked second, and Kizz Daniel, who is ranked third.
Burna Boy released his sixth studio album, ‘Love, Damini,’ in 2022, which became the most streamed album on Boomplay Nigeria, Apple Music Nigeria, and Spotify Nigeria. ‘Last Last,’ the album’s smash hit, achieved international success, propelling Burna Boy to the top of the charts.
The African gaint singer has now become the most streamed artist of 2022 on three of Nigeria’s major streaming platforms, a remarkable feat that captures his massively successful 2022.
In addition to dominating streaming platforms, Burna Boy will end 2022 with two Grammy nominations for World Album and Best Rap Album.
