Veteran Nigerian actor and film executive, Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, known professionally as Olu Jacobs, has been confirmed well and hearty.
This is coming against the backdrop of reports emanating from the social media that the internationally acclaimed actor is dead.
iBrandTV confirmed from a close source that Joke Silva’s husband is not dead, he is very strong and healthy.
However, Lala Akindoju has on Tuesday confirmed that Olu Jacobs is well and alive.
Akindoju in a Tweet said: “Uncle Olu Jacobs is alive and well. Very much so. I just got off the phone with him.
“Please stop spreading fake news,” she added.
Olu Jacobs has been hailed by many as one of the greatest and most widely respected African actors of his generation. Together with Pete Edochie, Justus Esiri, Enebeli Elebuwa and Sam Loco Efe.
He is considered by several media, film commentators, critics, and other actors to be one of the most influential African actors of all time, and is widely regarded as a cultural icon
He has starred in several British television series and international films
