The Nigerian Police operatives have taken over Edo State House of Assembly complex in Benin City, the state capital.
This is coming barely 24 hours after the Deputy Speaker of the state, Yekini Idiaye, was impeached.
A detachment of Police personnel took over the complex on Thursday morning.

iBrandTV gathered that the police took the action following a reported threat of an attack on the facility.
The team was led to the Assembly complex by Ayoola Ajala the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations.
