A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Monday has dismissed a suit to sack President Muhammdu Buhari.
Justice Inyang Ekwo also rejected the request seeking to stop the February 25, 2023, presidential election.
The presidential candidate of the Hope Democratic Party in the 2019 presidential election, Chief Ambrose Owuru had filed a suit against Buhari and the Independence National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Owuru alleged that there were illegalities in the 2019 presidential election as INEC postponed the election from February 16 to March 23, asking the court to declare him as the winner of the poll.
He claimed the shifting of the poll was against the constitution and Buhari’s declaration as the winner should be declared null and void.

However, Justice Ekwo in his ruling said the postponement of the election was justified and INEC was right in declaring Buhari as the winner.
Justice Ekwo dismissed the suit on the grounds that the suit constitutes a gross abuse of court process, statute barred and was an affront to the supremacy of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
The Judge held that the suit was baseless, frivolous, irritating and vexatious in its entirety.
