Again! Ibadan is in the news for a fire outbreak.
The dust raised by the fire explosion which occurred earlier this month in Bodija from illegal mining activities is yet to settle. Unfortunately, another fire incident has reared its ugly head.
There was commotion on Monday afternoon at Ire Akari Estate Area of Soka, Ibadan, Oyo State as a furniture shop was gutted by fire.
The fire outbreak reportedly started at around 3:00 p.m.
According to The PUNCH, the fire emanated from a furniture shop.
Efforts are ongoing by members of the community to prevent the spread of the fire.
As at the time of writing this report, the cause of the fire is still unknown.
Also, an X user shared a video of the fire while calling for help.
