Borussia Dortmund could demand a Premier League record fee of £130m for Jude Bellingham, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid in a race to sign the teenager.
Despite their interest, it could prove tricky for Premier League sides to lure Bellingham back to his homeland, reports suggest.
The first obstacle for English sides looking to land the 19-year-old could be the player’s own preference, Bellingham’s preference next year will be to join Real Madrid.
f any of the trio of clubs interested were to pay that amount, it would make Bellingham the most expensive British player in history, surpassing the £100 million that Manchester City forked out for Jack Grealish last summer.
Chelsea, meanwhile, were interested in Bellingham due to his box to box credentials that would have made him an ideal long-term replacement for N’Golo Kante. But they too are scouting for alternatives, including AS Monaco starlet Aurelien Tchouameni.

As for Manchester United, they were close to snapping up Bellingham last summer. But the youngster opted to join Dortmund and it appears unlikely that the Red Devils would lure him to Old Trafford anytime soon.
