Human rights lawyer Femi Falana, SAN, has firmly denied any involvement with Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky following serious allegations made by social media critic VeryDarkMan.
In a viral video, VeryDarkMan accused unnamed officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of accepting ₦15 million from Bobrisky to dismiss money laundering charges against him.
The activist also alleged that Falana had sought a presidential pardon for Bobrisky in exchange for ₦10 million.
However, speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, Falana refuted these claims.
Also, he stated that he has never had any interaction with Bobrisky and that the allegations involving his son, Folarin Falana (popularly known as Falz), are entirely unfounded.
“Bobrisky never spoke to me; I’ve never met him, and I don’t know him from Adam,” Falana clarified.
He explained that Bobrisky allegedly reached out to his son, Falz, asking for assistance while in jail.
He specifically requested ₦3 million to secure a spot in the VIP section of the prison.
Falz, in turn, questioned Bobrisky, asking if the request was authorized by the prison superintendent, to which Bobrisky responded negatively.
Femi Falana recounted that Falz immediately declined the request and warned Bobrisky against engaging in illegal activities.
He told him to only reach out through proper prison channels if necessary.
“That was the last time my son heard from him,” Femi Falana stated.
