Disney’s new movie, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King,’ dropped its first trailer on Monday, April 29, 2024.
It gives a look at Mufasa (voiced by Aaron Pierre), Scar (Kelvin Harrison Jr.), and their home in the African Pride Lands.
Beyoncé is back as Nala from the 2019 film, and her daughter Blue Ivy voices Kiara, King Simba (Donald Glover) and Queen Nala’s daughter.
Barry Jenkins, who won an Oscar for ‘Moonlight,’ directs the new movie. The script is was written by Jeff Nathanson, who wrote also ‘Catch Me If You Can.’
Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen return as Timon and Pumbaa from the 2019 ‘Lion King.’ The voice cast also includes Thandiwe Newton, Anika Noni Rose, Keith David, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tiffany Boone.
John Kani is back as the voice of Rafiki, who tells Mufasa’s story to his granddaughter Kiana.
