Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham sent out a bullish message on social media after their draw against Mallorca in La Liga opener.
The reigning champions got off to a disappointing start to their La Liga campaign as they were held to a 1-1 draw by minnows Mallorca on Sunday.
Rodrygo had handed Real Madrid an early lead from Vinicius Junior’s assist, however, the hosts restored parity just after half-time as Vedat Muriqi netted the equaliser.
Bellingham, who featured in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting lineup and spent 88 minutes on the pitch, shared a bullish message on Instagram despite his team’s poor display as he wrote in his story, “It’s a marathon, not a sprint.”
New signing Kylian Mbappe had a forgettable outing in his debut La Liga game for Los Blancos as he drew blanks in his team’s draw.
The Frenchman, however, managed to score on his competitive debut for the Spanish giants as they beat Atalanta to win the UEFA Super Cup.
