Nigeria Female singers, Ayra Starr and Tems have been officially recognised as the most streamed Nigerian artists on Spotify for 2024.
This announcement came as part of Spotify’s release of Nigeria’s top 30 tracks for the first half of the year.
However, Ayra Starr’s impressive performance on the charts was highlighted by her collaboration with Rauw Alejandro on the track “Santa,” which secured a prominent spot.
Additionally, her solo hit “Comma” claimed the second position,
It showcases her widespread appeal and consistent popularity.
Tems also made a significant impact, securing the third place with her soulful track “Love Me Jeje.”
This recognition solidifies Tems’ status as a leading figure in the Nigerian music industry.
The fourth spot was taken by Luciano and Omah Lay’s “Another Vibe,” while Burna Boy and Savage’s collaboration
“Metro Booming Just Like Me” clinched the fifth most streamed position.
Tyla and Tems’s track “No.1” followed closely, securing the sixth spot on the list.
During a press conference in Lagos, Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, elaborated on the significance of the list.

She explained that it recognised the most listened-to Nigerian tracks globally between January 1 and June 30, 2024.
This international recognition underscores the global influence and reach of Nigerian music, with Ayra Starr and Tems leading the charge.
