1. Past Work History
Kate Henshaw once worked at the Nigeria Bottling Company Henshaw.
The actress had a thriving career as a medical microbiologist until Nollywood came calling in 1993.
According to her, she had a stint with the Nigeria Bottling Company before hanging her boots.
“The only time I worked in the Quality Assurance lab was at the Nigerian Bottling Company in Ikeja, I didn’t know how to get back,” she said during an interview in 2020.
2. Her First Pay As An Actress
Aunty Kate was paid 30k for her first movie role.
As with many Nollywood stars, she kicked off careers from humble beginnings. For these movie stars, it wasn’t as rosy as it looked as they earned close to nothing at the start of their now successful careers.
When Henshaw landed her first movie role, she was paid ₦30,000, “I could remember that I got ₦30,000 for my first movie role,” she once said in an interview.
3. Secret Fantasy
Isn’t it quite strange that Henshaw desired to be an Air Hostess?
According to her during a chat with Pulse in 2019, she really wants to become an air hostess because of her desire to make people comfortable.
“I love people. I love serving people, helping people, smiling, and asking for coffee or tea? Are you comfortable?
You know I just like making people smile, making them happy, serving, you know, I just think it’s fun because I love flying too.
So maybe I should try it one day. I don’t know, it’s good to have me but I would love to do it.”
4. Political Aspirations
Like other colleagues of hers; Funke Akindele, Desmond Elliot, Tonto Dike, Kate Henshaw joins the list of celebrities who have tried their hands-on politics.
Also, she took her chance to get into the pool of Nigerian politics seven years ago.

The actress contested for the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to represent Calabar Municipal/Odukpani Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives. However, she didn’t win.
5. Love Life & Family
Kate Henshaw got married to her British husband, Roderick James Nuttal, the Managing Director of Ledrop Nigeria Ltd in 1999.
However, they got divorced in 2011 over allegations of infidelity from both parties.
Their union was blessed with a daughter, Gabrielle Nuttal, 23 years old.
